Alice Springs Graduation

Last month our first group of Future Stars graduated in Alice Springs.

We were lucky to be able to work with the amazing Rayleen Brown of Kungas Can Cook, who made us very welcome in her kitchen.

Many of the group have already assisted he Catering Company with a large function where they gained valuable experience. Others have already moved into full time work and recently we were proud to farewell a group of graduates at the airport, as they headed out to their new jobs at the Granites Mine. To date they are all relishing their new careers and settling in to a completely new way of life.

Although the season is slowing in Alice, several graduates have already secured hospitality jobs in both major hotels and small coffee shops. We have been really encouraged by the willingness of Alice Employers who are bending over backwards to provide jobs, and so far we have been able to place everyone who is ready to work, so our project in the Centre is off to a flying start! Our first Alice Course for 2011 will commence in January. Registration is now open, so please put us in contact with anyone you think may be interested, or benefit from our Program.
